Local Honey
Home / Local Honey
Local honey, from bees down the road.
Our members keep bees in gardens, allotments and fields across Swindon and north Wiltshire, and many sell what their bees make. Find a beekeeper near you and buy direct.
Who’s selling near you?
Enter your postcode to see the nearest sellers first. Each beekeeper sells their own honey, so contact them directly to check what’s in stock and how to collect.

These are sample listings to show how the page works. Real sellers will appear here soon.
SDBKA provides this page free, to help local people find local beekeepers. Each seller is an independent member selling their own honey. SDBKA doesn’t sell, inspect or guarantee any product, and isn’t part of any sale. Read the listing terms. Map pins show the general area only, not home addresses.
About these listings: terms for buyers
A free directory, not a shop
Swindon and District Beekeepers Association (SDBKA) runs this page free of charge to put people in touch with members who sell honey and hive products. The details shown are supplied by the sellers themselves.
Your purchase is with the seller
SDBKA does not sell, buy, supply, handle or take payment for any product listed here. Any sale is a private arrangement between you and the seller, and SDBKA is not a party to it. Questions about quality, price, payment, collection, delivery or refunds should go to the seller, and your consumer rights are against the seller, not SDBKA.
We don’t check products
SDBKA does not inspect, test, approve or endorse any seller or product, and a listing is not a recommendation. Each seller is responsible for making sure what they sell is safe, correctly labelled and meets food safety, labelling and trading standards rules, including The Honey (England) Regulations 2015.
Sellers’ insurance
Sellers who are registered members of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) are covered by the BBKA’s public and product liability insurance for hobby beekeeping, including selling pure hive products such as honey and beeswax with nothing added. This is the seller’s own cover, not SDBKA’s, and it may not cover products with added ingredients. If insurance matters to you, ask the seller.
Accuracy of listings
We try to keep listings up to date, but we can’t guarantee that details, prices or availability are correct. Please check with the seller before you travel.
Honey and babies
Honey should not be given to babies under 12 months old. See the NHS advice. If you have an allergy, check with the seller before buying.
Our liability
As far as the law allows, SDBKA, its committee, trustees and volunteers accept no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, illness, injury or dissatisfaction arising from any purchase from, dealings with, or reliance on the information supplied by a listed seller. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
If something goes wrong
Please contact the seller first. If you can’t resolve a problem, the Citizens Advice consumer service can help. If you have concerns about a listed seller, email SDBKA@outlook.com. We may change or remove any listing at any time.
What to know before you buy.
Why buy local
Local honey tastes of local flowers, so it changes through the year, from light spring honey to darker summer crops. Buying direct also supports the beekeepers who look after bees in your area.
Read the label
Honey sold in England must show where it was produced. A local jar should also give the beekeeper’s name and address, the weight, a best-before date and a batch number.
Runny, set or comb?
All real honey crystallises in time, which is a sign it’s natural. To soften a set jar, stand it in warm water. Cut comb is honey still in the beeswax, just as the bees made it.
