Welcome to our website. We hope you find the information on this site interesting and informative.
Swindon and District Beekeeping Association is a division of Wiltshire Beekeeping Association, a registered charity (Charity Number 1198735).
We are a diverse group who share a common interest in the fascinating hobby of Beekeeping. We have a wide spectrum of members, ranging from those who have yet to acquire bees and those who have recently done so. through to those who have kept bees for many years and who have acquired a wealth of experience whilst doing so. You can read more about us on the About Us page of this site.
We are fortunate to have two apiaries where members can gain hands-on experience of handling bees and learning about them under the guidance of experienced beekeepers. We offer courses for aspiring beekeepers so if these are of interest to you further details can be found on our Education and Training page.
We are enthusiastic about forging links with local schools which may be interested in beekeeping. Please contact Kathy Hobson if you require more information. The BBKA website has more information on its “Junior Beekeeping” page.
We meet monthly on the last Thursday of each month. Further details of our meetings can be found on the About Us page of this site. New members are always welcome so why not pay us a visit.
