Joining the Swindon & District Beekeepers Association (SDBKA) is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about beekeeping, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced beekeeper. As a division of the Wiltshire Beekeeping Association, SDBKA offers a welcoming and knowledgeable community where members can access expert guidance, educational courses, and hands-on experience at the association’s dedicated apiary. Membership provides valuable benefits, including Bee Disease Insurance (BDI), public and product liability insurance, and opportunities to connect with fellow beekeepers. Additionally, members can participate in monthly meetings, training sessions, and events, ensuring continuous learning and support throughout their beekeeping journey. Associate Membership

If you do not plan to keep bees this year, you are welcome to subscribe as an Associate Member for £10. This includes access to our newsletter and participation in meetings.

Full Member – Ideal for ordinary beekeepers. Includes BBKA membership, public liability insurance, Bee Disease Insurance (BDI) covering up to three colonies, and a subscription to the BBKA magazine.

Partner Member – Available to partners of a Registered member or teachers at the same school as a School Member. Includes the same benefits as Registered or School membership, except for the BBKA magazine and BDI insurance.

Junior Member – Designed for those under 18, whether they keep bees or not. Provides BBKA membership, public liability insurance, BDI coverage for up to three colonies, and a BBKA magazine subscription.

Associate Member – For individuals supporting SDBKA while holding BBKA membership with another association. Excludes public liability insurance, BDI coverage, and the BBKA magazine.

Country Member – Suitable for non-beekeeping enthusiasts who wish to be involved in BBKA and SDBKA. Includes BBKA membership and the BBKA magazine, but does not cover public liability insurance or Bee Disease Insurance.
